3 Decades of Transformation

Lifework First Class.jpeg

Lifework Leadership was established to provide a diverse cross section of Orlando leaders with training grounded in scripture - helping participants gain a deeper understanding of how to view all of life (and work) through a biblical lens by exploring the life and leadership of Jesus Christ.

Challenged in 1991 by the late US Senator from Colorado, Bill Armstrong, Ralph Veerman and Larry Kreider partnered together to found The Greater Orlando Leadership Foundation (GOLF). Their desire was to develop transformed and transformational leaders to impact their homes, businesses, churches, and the community.

The success of GOLF caught the attention of other cities around the country who wanted help replicating the training. In 2006 the name was changed to Lifework Leadership. The new name was more transferable and communicates the deeper meaning of the ideals of the organization, as Lifework leaders are motivated to integrate the inseparable - life and work - for the common good.

In 2018 Lifework again caught the attention of leaders in other cities, this time on a global scale. Lifework Leadership entered into a formal relationship with a South African organization called City Changers. With on-going ministry in cities around the world, City Changers is well positioned to implement Lifework's faith and work initiatives through existing relationships internationally.

This year kicks off the 30th Anniversary of Lifework Leadership! Over 900 Orlando alumni are positioned in Central Florida (and indeed around the world) to live out their unique calling for the sake of God's Kingdom. This 30th Anniversary year celebrates with opportunities to reconnect with alumni friends and engage and serve in our city and in what God has next for Lifework Leadership.
