Brad Nelson - “Hallowing God’s Name”

In the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus teaches us to pray that God’s name be hallowed—sanctified and revered through lives that faithfully reflect His character. Just as God strategically placed His people to live out this mission at the crossroads of the world, we too are called to honor and uphold His name through our words, actions, and work in both the public and private sphere.

Brad is a gifted scholar and teacher who helps lead Walking the Text, a global Christian mission that harnesses media to unlock the meaning of Scripture through the lens of the context of when it was written. He is also Chief Content Creator for Sacred Thread, a 7-part teaching series coming to television in 2025 focusing on the Lord's Prayer.

Graduation & Awards Dinner

Every year Lifework Leadership hosts a Christ centered leadership development, spiritual formation class of around 30 participants that runs over 8 months from October to May. We then host an event to celebrate the graduates and to honor recipients of two awards: the Distinguished Alumni of the Year and also a Legacy Award.

The Alumni of the Year award is given to a Lifework alum who is recognized as a remarkable leader by their peers, both in how they honor God in their business and also their stellar record of community service. Their track record witnesses a desire to be salt and light as a follower of Christ - using both their business, time and talent to seek the welfare of the city. This year we are honoring our dear friend, Dee Coleman.

The Legacy Award is given to a Christian leader who has had a significant impact for Christ and His Kingdom over their lifetime and this year we are honoring our dear friend Dan Devine. We think Dan is an incredibly deserving recipient and wonderful role model for our graduating class as a faithful servant of Christ.

Lifework Lunch & Learn Speaker Series

Announcing 2024 Lifework Lunch and Learn Speaker Series

Lifework alumni and friends are lifelong learners as we seek to be salt and light in our communities. Capitalizing on the tremendous faculty we have for this year's class, we are happy to present these world class leaders as part of our 2024 Speaker Series.

  • Stephen Mansfield  "Heroes Redefined"  (Wednesday, January 10)

  • Ruth McKeaney  "Hungry for Home"  (Wednesday, February 7)

  • Brant Hansen  "The Truth About Us"  (Wednesday, March 6)

  • Os Guinness  “2026 and the 250th anniversary of the revolution — America’s expiration date or a time for renewal?” (Wednesday, April 3)

You'll want to join us for all four events! The best investment is to purchase seats for the whole series. Not only are the speakers interesting and helpful, these luncheons are a great opportunity to network and connect with friends. Perhaps consider purchasing two "season tickets" and always bringing a friend, colleague, or potential student for next year's class!
